Do you know what district energy is?

This was the theme of a session in C40 on June 2nd. District Energy is a system tha allows the sharing of heating and cooling for a group of buildings or even neighbors. The initiative results in a reduction on gas emission, because it is more efficient than the traditional heating controls.

The ideia was discussed by the Senator Katrin Lompscher, from Berlin, Magnus Foged, of the Strategic Plannig Department of Copenhagen, Allan Jones and bruce Taper, from Sidney’s Cityhall, Drogosz Leszek, of the infrastructure of Warsow, moderated by the Sustainability and Enviroment Director of Seattle.
