São Paulo City Hall participated in International Municipal Forum of BRICS

Cities and local governments are the main agents for the Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals of UN Agenda

The Deputy Municipal Secretary of International Affairs in São Paulo, Ambassador Fernando Mello Barreto, participated today (05) of the International Municipal Forum of BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa). The event that congregates municipal authorities from member countries, and from all over the world, was held remotely this year.

The Ambassador discussed the importance of sustainable development. The City of São Paulo believes that cooperation among cities has an essential role for countries to succeed in the implementation of sustainable measures. In addition to this, prioritises political stability, juridic security and a good governmental structure so investments can be confidently made.
