Border Reopening: find out the recommendations to Brazilians that need to travel to African countries

Check which countries of Africa allow entry inside their territories

During the Covid-19 pandemic, many countries restricted flights from Brazil to prevent increases in the number of cases and deaths from the disease. Notwithstanding, other nations already started the process of reopening borders and resuming international flights.

Even with the pandemic, some people need to travel abroad for essential reasons, such as professional motives or family emergencies. The City of São Paulo and the Municipal Department of International Affairs reinforces the recommendations set forth by the World Health Organization (WHO) and health specialists to practice social isolation, discouraging international travel for tourism.

South Africa
International travels to the country are allowed as long as it is presented a negative RT-PCR test, delivered within 72 hours before the arrival. If the passenger doesn't present the certificated, he/she will be assigned to quarantine in facilities in the country, paid by themself. Travelers for tourism and business meetings are exempt from presenting a visa.

Ethiopia
It's required to present a negative RT-PCR test, performed within 120 hours before the arrival. Children under 10 years old are exempt from performing the test.
