Municipal Secretariat of International Affairs participates in a meeting with the General Consulate of Israel in São Paulo

The objective of the videoconference was to present priority projects of the Secretariat and the prospection of international partnerships

The Municipal Secretary of International Affairs, Marta Suplicy, participated in a meeting with the General Consul of Israel in São Paulo, Alon Lavi, in the morning of this Tuesday (23). Held by videoconference, the meeting had as its goal the presentation of priority projects of the Municipal Secretariat and the prospect of international partnerships. The Deputy Secretary of International Relations, Ambassador Débora Barenboim-Salej, the International Relations Coordinator, Francisco Castro, and the Bilateral International Affairs Coordinator, Camila Assis, also followed the online gathering.

During the videoconference, Secretary Marta brought up the possibility for cooperation and exchange of experiences with the country in the areas of technology, highlighting Israel protagonism in this thematic area. Another point discussed in the meeting was about the environment, with an emphasis on environmental solutions for basic sanitation in the city.

The meeting also pointed up the collaborations of the General Consulate of Israel in São Paulo in the cultural, economic, and social fields. To fight the pandemic of coronavírus, for example, the Consulate collaborated with donations to the São Paulo Cidade Solidária program.
