Border Reopening: know which are the recommendations to Brazilians that need to travel to countries in the Americas

Check which countries of the Americas already allow entry into their territories

During the Covid-19 pandemic, many countries restricted flights from Brazil for a while, as well as the entry of Brazilians and passengers with a recent stay in the country, to prevent the increase in the numbers of cases and deaths from this disease. Despite that, other nations, already started the process of reopening borders and resuming international flights.

However, even with the pandemic, some people need to travel abroad for essential reasons - such as professional motives or family emergencies. The city of São Paulo and the Municipal Department of International Affairs reinforces the recommendations set forth by the World Health Organization (WHO) and specialists which include the continued practice of social isolation, disencouraging international travel for tourism.

Mexico

The country has no restrictions to the entry of foreigners - however, it is necessary to fulfill a questionnaire at the arrival, the "Cuestionario de identificación de factores de riesgo en viajeros". The use of masks in public places is mandatory.

Bolivia

Land borders with Brazil are closed, but flights are still authorized. The travelers need to present, at the arrival, a negative RT-PCR test, performed within 72 hours prior, and fulfill the "Declaración Jurada del Viajero para Seguimiento COVID-19". It is also mandatory health insurance that covers the disease. Passengers are subject to quarantine ten days after the arrival. Children under six years old are exempt from the RT-PCR exam.
