Visiting Ibirapuera Park – An Environmental Adventure

The “Visiting Ibirapuera Park, an Environmental Adventure” programme offered by the Open University for Environment and Culture of Peace (UMAPaz) is intended for schools, communities and NGOs. It receives groups of 15 to 40 people (children, youngsters, adults and elders) through previous scheduling.
The programme offers the participant experience and reflection on the importance of environment and culture of peace, using the Ibirapuera Park as a field for studying historic and cultural aspects, as well as its wildlife, water and the harmonious coexistence between man and nature.

Visitation Itinerary

Arrival at UMAPaz (1268, Quarto Centenário Avenue -Gate 7A São Paulo, Brasil), presentation at the Environmental Education Room, visiting of the interiors of the Park, including the Manequinho Lopes Nursery, Burle Marx Square, the Woods, the Lake, the Metal Bridge and the Peace Square, among other sites.

Visits will take place from Tuesdays through Fridays in the morning (from 8:30 am to 11:30am) and in the afternoon (from 13:30 pm t0 16:30pm). Groups and schools interested must schedule an appointment with the Environmental Adventure team calling 55 11 5572-1004
