C40 Sao Paulo Summit 2011

The city of Sao Paulo will host the next C40 Mayors Summit in 2011, which will be held between May 31st and June 2nd 2011. The C40 Network is formed by the mayors of the 40 largest cities in the world to combat climate change and meets every two years. This is the fourth meeting, which was created in 2005 by the then London Mayor Ken Livingstone. In 2007, the event was held in New York and in 2009, in Seoul, South Korea. Mayor Gilberto Kassab attended the last two meetings. This will be the first summit of the network in an emerging country.
