Municipal Secretariat of International Affairs holds meeting with American Commerce Chamber of São Paulo

Via videoconference, participants discussed the priorities of the Municipal Administration and issues related to the progress of the Covid-19 pandemic in the municipality

On Wednesday (07), Secretary Marta Suplicy participated in a videoconference with the President of the American Commerce Chamber of São Paulo (AMCHAM), Deborah Vieitas, and the Executive Vice-President of São Paulo's AMCHAM, Abrão Neto. The Deputy Secretary for International Affairs, Ambassador Débora Barenboim-Salej, also joined the meeting, along with the Coordinator of International Affair, Francisco Castro, and the Coordinator of Bilateral International Affairs, Camila Assis.

With the objective of bringing the relationship between the city of São Paulo and the American companies in the municipality closer, the meeting had as its agenda the introduction of priority management issues and the progress of the coronavirus epidemic in the city of São Paulo. Secretary Marta Suplicy highlighted the interest in collaborations for initiatives to combat structural racism and of partnerships to foster innovation in the capital of the State of São Paulo. During the meeting, the participants also discussed actions to combat hunger, through food donation for the municipality's initiatives, and the vaccination against Covid-19.
