Via videoconference, São Paulo participates in the General Assembly of Educating Cities

The event was promoted by the IAEC network which shared good practices in the areas of education and culture

The city of São Paulo participated in the General Assembly of Educating Cities, arranged by the International Association of Educating Cities (AICE), this Tuesday morning (25). The session was held virtually and attended by the Coordinator of Multilateral Affairs and City Networks, Marina Morais de Andrade, Mahryan Sampaio Rodrigues, intern at the Municipal Secretariat for International Affairs and the General Coordinator of the School Food Coordination, attached to the Municipal Secretariat of Education, Josselia Fontoura, as São Paulo´s representatives.
 
During the event, the cities of Medellín (Colombia), Santos (Brazil), and Torres Vedras (Portugal), were commended by AICE, with the goal of praising good practices of inclusion and democratization of culture. The opening of the assembly also included a lecture of the culture expert, Michel Vallé.
 
The following session approached general information about the network, with the announcement of new members and the Association's finances. At the end of the event, it was declared that the International Congress of Educating Cities of 2022 will be held in Andong, in South Korea. The activity will be an opportunity for member cities, including São Paulo, to share their good practices and experiences.
