With 40,000 paid rotative parking spots in São Paulo, the city owns one of the biggest systems, with 89 million reais of revenue per year and over a million users of the digital card modality.
At the moment, studies are being undertaken for the structuration of a public-private partnership for the management, modernization and operation of the service. The future concessionaire will be responsible for the selling of parking credits, improving the access to parking spots for users and offering modern inspection methods, with City Hall being responsible for the inspection and supervision of the service. This would provide the user with different and easier options for using the service.
The concessionaire can also implement accessory services on their infrastructure, such as advertising on mobile apps.
