Transportation Ticketing

The electronic ticketing system comprises the management of the Single Ticket (Bilhete Único) and the revenue of the public tariffs paid by the users of municipal buses and rail networks in the city of Sao Paulo.

On a daily basis, this system enables the transport of 4.6 million unique users and has more than 14 million cards of Single Tickets issued with some kind of use in the last 12 months. In 2016, the Ticketing had a gross cost of R$ 238 million and revenues of R$ 78 million. Ticketing costs are divided between the Municipal Government and the Sao Paulo's State Government, both manage this service.

The Ticketing concession seeks to improve services, to get a system always technologically up-to-date, to combat fraud, to allow the exploitation of ancillary revenues with Single Ticket and to reduce the expenditures of the City Hall and the State Government.
